Robert Farr is known for V for Vendetta (2005), Tideland (2005) and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005).- Robert Connely Farr is a songwriter from Bolton, Mississippi - hometown of musical legends Charley Patton & the Mississippi Sheiks. Farr is a friend & protege of Jimmy Duck Holmes, one of the original Bentonia blues-men who learned directly from Henry Stuckey (who also taught Skip James). His music has been used on Amazon Prime's "Reacher", Netflix's "Snowpiercer", SYFY's "Resident Alien" & numerous other films on Lifetime & TNT . He resides in East Vancouver Canada.
Farr's 2019 "Dirty South Blues" & was released to immediate critical acclaim. Greg Vandy at KEXP named it as one of their top albums of the year & earned Farr nominations for both Songwriter of the Year & New Artist of the Year by Canada's prestigious Maple Blues Awards. After an emergency cancer diagnosis & surgery, Farr hit the ground running & 2020 saw Robert release 3 albums culminating in his 16 song "Country Supper" generating similar acclaim to "Dirty South Blues" & landed on numerous Best of 2020 lists. His 2022 release "Shake It" has been compared to The Black Keys & R.L. Burnside. His latest release "Pandora Sessions" (Nov 2023) is steeped in the sounds of Jimmy "Duck" Holmes' juke joint - the Blue Front Cafe
